Carolina Chocolate Drops

Yesterday, in our after Naked Empire show quest to find free SXSW beer, we stumbled upon the Carolina Chocolate Drops. I’d recently heard about them on NPR, so I was pretty excited to hear them. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome - banjos, fiddle, harmonica, stone jug (!), and clacky sticks, along with some great vocals! Give them a listen.

Despite my insistence on avoiding all thing South By this year, I managed to have one of those accidental awesome experiences everyone always raves about with the festival. It definitely improved my mood, and made the awful weather and crowds bearable.
