Random things about my Zurich Experience

- The walk from the train station to the office passes by a little creek. There are ducksĀ  in there, they are cute. One of my first mornings, we even saw a heron. I should bring them some snacks from breakfast …

- All the toilet paper I have encountered here is this weird stiff stuff. Same rolls in the office asĀ  the hotel. Clearly, this means all TP in Swizterland is like this.

- The office caf is on the top floor of the building, and everyone hikes up there for a coffee break at around 9:30 every morning. It’s a nice little ritual thing, I think.

- One of the project architects looks like mix of Bill Gabler and Tyler Melton .. I don’t know if any of my friends know who both of those dudes are. Tiny hipster dude, basically.

- I am thinking about taking a day trip down to Milan on Saturday. I am about 80% certain I am going to do this. There is a train that leaves at 7 from Zurich and gets in around 11, hopefully that will leave me enough time to wander about? Who knows. I do not.

So, I am coming back stateside on the 27th, and staying for a week. Then back here for at least 2 weeks, but likely more. Haven’t yet bought tickets for the second leg, because we are waiting word that they will pay for us to stay longer :-/
Sadly, the hotel that we’re all in now will be closed for repairs so we’ll be at the one Helen and Alistair were first staioned at, which required two trains in the morning. That is definitely irritating, I enjoy not having a horrible commute thankyouverymuch.
Ah well, I guess that means I get to explore a new area of town, though.

Just got back from my first time to the grocery store. Tiny thing with expensive products inside. I bought a lot of chocolate and some hilarious mini wine bottles that I will post a picture of soon. Do not ever buy ice cream in Zurich, it will set you back almost 10 bucks! I think that is outrageous and I am glad it didn’t tempt me.
